clearly besotted stamps

I have some exciting news to share today; Stephanie Wincott of Stamping & Sharing is starting her own stamp line; Clearly Besotted Stamps!  The shop will be opening it's doors tomorrow - yep no waiting around here! You can see a sneak peek of the stamp designs on Facebook and some sample cards already made up on Pinterest :)

Stephanie is not only a fabulous stamper with a style right up my street but one of the most kind and generous bloggers out there. Stephanie puts her whole heart into everything she does and I am delighted that her endless energy is being focused on producing stamps as believe me these babies are GORGEOUS! Not only that but I get to play with them as Stephanie asked me to be part of her Design Team!! I am beyond excited and so these stamps were barely through my door before I broke into them.

I just couldn't resist this wonderful rose from the Blooming Marvellous set. I love the effect of using Distress Markers to colour stamps; sort of watercolour but with depth and clarity and I thought I'd go a little non-traditional and colour my rose yellow. After stamping I went back in with the Peeled Paint marker and added some shadows to the leaves. Yellow roses are significant to me as they are my Mother's favourite and she used them within her bridal bouquet. So I've been buying yellow roses for my Mum my whole life!

Well that's me for today. I hope you will join me in wishing Stephanie the best with her new venture. If you want to pop by her blog click here to send her some love.

Supplies: Stamps - Clearly Besotted Stamps blooming marvellous; Inks - Versafine smoky gray, Distress Markers mustard seed, wild honey, peeled paint, forest moss; Paper - Lily Bee persnickety; Dies - Lil' Inker Designs stitched mats; Rhinestones - Stampin' Up
