lil’ inker designs sneak peek day 1

This is my second post today, please scroll down to see my There She Goes card.

Wohoo! It’s time to start the sneak peeks for Lil’ Inker Designs next release. You are going to LOVE what we have in store for you! Hopefully as part of the new release hop you’ve arrived here from Amy’s blog. If not pop by and see Laura to start at the beginning so you don’t miss anything :)

To start us off we have an ingenious die to create the most wonderful bows! I loved seeing Teri Anderson chatting about the new bow trend on the Paper Crafts Connection blog the other day. Of course being Lil’ Inker Designs our bows have the signature perforation detail too! I’m dreaming of bows at the moment – colourful bows, paper bows, felt bows, big bows, small bows ….. To add to the versatility this die comes in a large and small version. Today I’m using the smaller die and when I looked at it I immediately thought of a bow tie! Then when I thought about it some more I thought that the large die from flags and tags looked like a dress shirt. So here you go – my black tie event card!

LIDbow

Let’s take a closer look at that bow because trying to photograph black cardstock is not the easiest!

LIDbow2

Isn’t that the cutest! Bow ties certainly are cool!
ec8a_bow_tiesThis month's prizes will be a $10 store credit and a Sentiment Flags Additions set (more on that to follow).
Now it’s time to hop on over to Jen’s blog!

I always always always look forward to your creations and this one is amazing. I'm so glad you put the picture link of the large banner to because for some dumb reason I never put 2and 2 together and didn't realize it was that large. I thought it was smaller. Thank you.

Excellent take on the "black-tie." What did you make your bow from? It almost looks like suede. Another classic card!

Hi Caroline (canadian_liner), the bow is simply cut from Stampin' Up black cardstock. I think it's just the way the light was catching the bow that makes it look a little different.
